Laurel Black came to the Northwest from California to pursue graduate studies at the University of Oregon. After earning a Master of Fine Arts degree, she held graphic design positions in Eugene and Seattle. Laurel has provided graphic support and marketing tools to businesses since 1980, along with illustration, copywriting, and promotional consultation.
Many of Laurel’s designs have become familiar landmarks on the Olympic Peninsula, including logos for Jefferson Transit, Olympic Medical Center, Jace Real Estate, and the Highway 101 Safety Corridor. Laurel has consistently won design awards for her creations over the years.
Laurel’s work follows one philosophy: that graphic design’s mission is to communicate a company’s essence in visual messages like branding and identity; and that design delivers real marketing impact only when executed with highest quality and full client focus.
